Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Remodara collects, uses and protects personal information. Remodara is operated by Remodara LLC, 111 S. Walnut Ave., Ripon, CA 95366 ("Remodara", "we", "us"). You can reach us at [email protected].
Notice at collection
Categories we collect: identifiers (name, email, mobile number, hashed IP), approximate location (ZIP, city, state), and project interests (project type, timeline, photos). We use them to provide renders, to send marketing you opt into, and to prevent abuse. We do not sell or share personal information.
What we collect
Sign-up. When you sign up for a free render we collect:
- your first and last name;
- your email address;
- your ZIP code, and the city and state we look up from it;
- the project type and timeline you choose, if any;
- your mobile phone number, which is required so we can verify one free account per person and prevent abuse (we text you only if you separately opt in);
- whether you agreed to marketing email or marketing texts, with the date, time and wording you agreed to;
- the page you signed up from;
- a one-way hash of your IP address.
How you found us. When you arrive from another site or a Remodara campaign link, we record the referring site (its name only, not the full page address) and the campaign tags in the link, and keep them with your waitlist signup and your renders so we know which posts and partners bring people in. We keep this in a first-party cookie for 90 days and never share it with advertisers.
Hashed IP address. We do not store your raw IP address. We run it through a keyed, one-way hash and keep only the result. We use the hash to limit abuse, such as too many sign-ups or uploads from one network. The hash cannot be turned back into your IP address.
Uploaded photos. If you upload a room photo to create an AI rendering, we keep:
- the photo you uploaded, after we remove its metadata (we re-encode the image and strip EXIF, GPS location, camera details and other embedded data);
- the AI renderings made from it;
- the room type and style you picked, and the result of our automated quality check.
We do not ask for, and you should not include, your street address or other location details in a photo.
What we do not collect. We do not use advertising trackers, third-party analytics scripts or advertising cookies. The upload page uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block bots. Turnstile may set a cookie that is strictly necessary for that check.
How we use it
- to give you your free renders;
- if you opt in, to send you design ideas, tips and offers by email;
- if you opt in, to send you marketing texts;
- to make, check and show your AI renderings;
- to prevent abuse, fraud and overuse;
- to count interest by city and state so we know where to launch next;
- to comply with law.
Marketing email is optional. Your free renders never depend on it. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also write to [email protected].
Text messages
We use your mobile number to keep it to one free account per person. We text you only if you also check the separate text consent box. If you check it, Remodara may send you recurring marketing texts, which may be sent using automated technology. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or of using Remodara. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Mobile numbers and text opt-in consent are not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. See our SMS Terms.
Uploaded photos: privacy and retention
Your uploaded photos and renderings are private. They are stored in private storage and shown only to you through links that expire within minutes. We do not publish your photos or renderings, and we do not show them on any public page, unless you separately opt in for a specific use.
Some renderings go to a short human review before they are shown. Only authorized Remodara staff can see those images.
We keep uploaded photos and renderings for 12 months after your last upload, then delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time.
When bidding opens in your area
If you choose to publish a project for bids, we show the participating contractors selected for it (no more than 3) your photos, renderings, wish list and city. We share your street address, phone number or email with a contractor only when you choose to share them with that contractor by name. Contractors pay Remodara the same flat monthly subscription whether or not they receive your project, and they may use your information only to prepare a bid for you and, if hired, to do the work.
No sale or sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not let other companies use it for their own marketing.
We use service providers that process data for us under contract and only to run Remodara: Cloudflare (hosting, storage, database and bot protection), our AI rendering provider (to create renderings from your photo), and an email delivery provider once we start sending email. We do not use your photos to train AI models. We do not share your information with any lender.
Because we do not sell or share personal information, we do not offer a "Do Not Sell or Share" link. We still honor browser opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, as a request not to sell or share.
Unsubscribe and delete
Every email we send has two links:
- Unsubscribe stops our emails right away.
- Delete my info permanently erases your waitlist entry, your uploaded photos and your renderings.
You can also email [email protected] from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete your information. We will confirm when it is done.
If you chose to share a rendering publicly, it may take up to 30 days after your deletion request for copies of that published rendering to be removed from our service providers' systems.
How long we keep sign-up data
We keep your sign-up details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, or 24 months after your last activity, whichever comes first. We keep records of your email and text consent and opt-outs for as long as we need them to prove and honor your choices.
Your California privacy rights
If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of sale or sharing (we do not sell or share), to limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect it), and to not be discriminated against for using these rights. To use these rights, email [email protected]. We will verify your request by confirming control of the email address on file. An authorized agent may make a request for you with your signed permission.
Children
Remodara is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Security
We use HTTPS everywhere, private storage, signed links that expire, keyed hashing for IP addresses and limited staff access.
Map data
City and state lookups use postal code data from GeoNames (geonames.org), licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is material, we will email people on the waitlist before it takes effect.
